At the beginning of 2018 I was having some major skincare struggles. I had tons of clogged pores, blackheads, and quite a bit of acne.
I was doing my best to cover it all up, but it ultimately showed right through my makeup. I tried a ton of different products, saw a dermatologist, and tried everything on the shelves of Ulta I could find. In the end, I only saw minor improvements.
Fast forward 6 months. I was talking to one of my friends who suggested I change my diet and try adding “Marula Oil” to my skincare regimen. I started putting it on every night and cut out all sorts of junk-food, sweets, and unhealthy food out of my diet. I started seeing results within the first few days!
I was super skeptical at first, but sure enough, by following this simple advice I now have the clearest skin I’ve had since I was a kid. I still don’t quite understand the biology of skincare and how this works, but what matters to me is that it does!
I’m super happy with the way my skin looks now, and love not having to be insecure every time I go out in public that my acne is showing through my makeup. I hope my skincare regimen continues to work in 2019, I’ll keep you all updated!
