At some point in your life, you’ll probably have to wear a dress, and it’s important to do it right!
One of the most common things I see are people buying a dress that looks great on a mannequin, but looks droopy, out of place, or just plain bad on their body type.
Here are some tips for the next time you go dress shopping:
Know your body type and what looks good, for example if you have a major hip dip, avoid things that are tight on your hips as they will accentuate this.
Try to avoid crazy patterns; they might look really cool, but can be a major eyesore for others to look at.
Avoid cheap fabrics, these dresses will often stretch and dis-form in the wrong places, and may not even survive a wash or clean.
Ultimately the most important thing to do is figure out what works for your body shape. Once you figure out the style of dress that works for you, it’s just a matter of finding your price range, material, and pattern!
